Faith Associates announces the launch of Mental Health First Aid Aware (MHFA) training course package for the Muslim community.

We recognise that taking care of mental health is as important as maintaining good physical health. A new PHE survey reveals more than eight in ten (83%) people have experienced early signs of poor mental health including feeling anxious, stressed, having low mood or trouble sleeping in the last 12 months. While these can be a natural response to life’s challenges, they can become more serious if people don’t take action – and many wait too long.
Faith Associates are offering community leaders, faith leaders and those interested the opportunity to take up Mental Health First Aid Aware training course, accredited by Mental Health England, supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
The aim and vision is to provide training to empower a network of Mental Health First Aid Aware trainers to help support the millions of people across communities in the UK who are suffering from mental health problems and who need support. Over the coming weeks and months, our aim is to train 50 Mental Health and First Aid specialists and leaders to build towards a future where everyone’s mental health matters is more critical than ever.
The price for the MHFA training package was £200 and has been reduced down to £5o per person.
The training package entails:
- Mental Health & First Aid Training by Mental Health England (3 hours)
- Follow up ‘Activator’ Course by ECB – Allowing you to be cricket trained (2 hours)
- Support providing to community on mental health issues on Imamsonline.com
The training package offer broken down below:
This is a three part package we are offering, once you receive the Mental Health First Aid Aware training you will then take part in a short accredited ‘Activator’ course by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that will support Faith Associates recreational cricket programmes in your locality. There will also be opportunities and want to support those in need through our Imams online – Talk to an Imam platform, providing paid mental health support to those in need.
