Faith Associates offers certified First Aid training for Mosques and Madrassahs.
First Aid training, as part of wider Health & Safety requirements, is a highly recommended course that keeps staff and volunteers prepared to deal with emergencies and can help save manage risks and reduce the time lost due to illness or injury.
Examples of the training offered include:
Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
Delegates attending this 1 day course will be provided training in emergency first aid. The course can be modified for the needs of individual company’s requirements and is ideally suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.
HSE Recommendations: Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day first aid refresher every twelve months.
The content of the course will cover how to deal with the following:
- Health and safety (first aid) regulations
- The priorities of first aid
- Managing an incident
- Primary survey
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation
- Epilepsy
- Choking
- Seizures
- Bleeding
- Common workplace injuries.
Assessment Format: Theory, practical & written exam
Certification: Valid for 3 years for those who pass required assessments
Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid
This two day course has been designed for Teachers, nursery staff, carers, parents and anyone working closely with children
Delivered in line with Ofsted requirements and conforms to Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance. The course is regulated by Ofqual (Regulator of qualifications, examinations and assessments)
The content of the course will cover how to deal with the following:
- The Law relating to First Aid
- Unconsciousness (including seizure)
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Choking, shock, wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Bone injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Anaphylactic shock
- Head injuries
- Epilepsy, asthma and diabetes
Assessment Format: Theory, practical & written exam
Certification: Valid for 3 years for those who pass required assessments
First Aid at Work
The half-day annual refresher course is designed for people in the workplace who have successfully passed either the three-day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work or the one-day Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work courses. This is the perfect event to help keep all first aiders up-to-date and competent.
The content of the course will cover how to deal with the following:
- How to act safely and effectively in an emergency
- Deal with a casualty who is unconscious
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Deal with a casualty who is suffering from shock
- Deal with a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
Assessment Format: Theory and practical, but no formal assessment
Certification: Upon completion of the course delegates are issued with a certificate of attendance.
